Custom Darth Vader dunny I made for the collector from Spain. He bought my provious Hellboy dunny on Ebay auction, he liked it and decided to commission me to make him another character. I am also Star Wars fan so agreed without hesitation.

This 3inch little guy was more demanding. The helmet was sculpted with epoxy putty and carefully sanded, polished and painted with 3 layers of super gloss varnish.  At first I painted blue and white highlights with brushes to simulate reflections, but the effect wasn’t satisfying. I cleaned it and spray painted with flat  black the whole figure and varnished only his helmet, belt and boots. The cape is made of melted plastic painted black and light saber made of plastic rod painted with Sharpie.

Another customized mini Lunartik in a cup of tea inspired by iconic photo of Audrey Hepburn from classic movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I used all parts of original toy to shape this figure. Saucer is a base again, inverted cup forms her hips and handle of cup was cut off and used as a tail of little cat sculpted to look like made of smaller lunartik. Lots of sculpting went to this piece but I wanted minimalistic look. At first, I planned to paint her black and white only, but later decided to add the skin color. I think it was a good call. I already have few ideas to customize this figure further, to create 2 other lady characters, I will probably cast this sculpture in resin and make 5 copies. 80% of the final price gives roughly 80$, so it will give 3 loans to people from Kiva.org, 25 $ each. I already selected two:

First is Pasar Lontar Group which sells toys in small shop in Indonesia. They need the loan to expand their business and improve the standard of living of entire family. Since the money comes from sale of the toy, this was my first choice.

Second is Harapan 2 Group from Indonesia for Yusrati for stock to their general store.

Third will be selected in next few days. I will update this post to see if it made an impact I wanted.

Marilyn Monroe is another Lunartik custom with melted cup. I shaped the dress with the heatgun, to look like the one from iconic photos from 1955 movie “The Seven Year Itch”. The hair and legs made with sculpey, base is a saucer taken from original toy created by Matt Jones.

My dunny version of Vitruvian Man originally sketched by Leonardo da Vinci showing ideal human proportions with geometry described by the ancient Roman architect Vitruvius. Many artists used this iconic image and put all different robots or animals inside the circle, but I didn’t see dunny yet, so here it is pasted on the original poster.

I wanted  to do something with Mickey’s ears. The first idea was to paint Luxo Jr  playing with ball. At the end I decided to model them as 3 dimensional sculptures.

Here he is standing next to my previous vinylmation Walt Disney. Both of them created first full length animated movies revolutionary in their technologies of that time and most successful of all times. I am always waiting impatient for every new Pixar film, next is Brave in 2012.
