I’ve been busy for the last few weeks with custom engagement ring box I can’t disclose yet. I will show it here after the big day later this year. Here you have custom Dronkey instead. 🙂 It is one of my projects I started months ago and was distracted with other ideas after that. I have a queue of toys standing on my shelf and waiting for their time. I will finish them all, I promise 🙂 This guy is coming from animation Shrek. It is a mix of donkey with a dragon (for those who didn’t see the movie 🙂 I made him with Kidrobot’s blank toy called Raffy. The modifications involved cutting little horns and adding tail, wings, hair and mouth with cute smile. Everything was made with Sculpey, teeth are pieces of styrene. The real challenge was fur (and that probably caused the delay) I wanted to paint every hair ( I shouldn’t buy 0000 size brush!!! ) Next time I will simplify the design when painting fur, or will try the real hair like on Einstein.
