Standing as a sinister symbol of terror, the Myers House has been featured in multiple films in the series. I was tasked to turn it into personalized engagement ring box. Is it even possible? I like challenges so I took this job and created this tiny miniature model with its own secret.

Myers House Engagement Ring Box
I was contacted by Hank to create for him this personalized engagement ring box. He found me through Up house and wanted something similar size. It turns out I planned to build this miniature after Coraline and Up house as one of the iconic buildings on my list around 2009. I aggreged with some hesitation because I thought murder and marriage don’t go well together ? I started researching more closely the building, watched the movie and decided to help this lovely couple of Halloween movie fans.
I 3d modelled the house in Google Sketchup because I used this program a lot in my architectural career. I signed to www.michael-myers.net where I found drawing of front and side elevation and read about rear of the house. It turns out it is not clear how it looks at the back but there was and additional section for kitchen on the back seen in the first scenes of the movie. I modeled this version but Hank preferred to make it as it exists now. I have both now and will probably build a miniature diorama with back porch at some stage.
I 3d printed the model in resin. It took me few tries to get the good copy. I painted it with Vallejo paints and pigments powders for realistic weathering. The fine lines were accented with oil paint pin wash. The diorama would not be complete without characteristic hedge and some front lawn. I placed it on square base as small as possible to fit all elements. The interior is lined with black felt so the diamond ring shine pops.
As you open the box to reveal the dazzling engagement ring hidden within, the contrast between the box’s ominous exterior and the radiant symbol of your love creates a dramatic and unforgettable moment. October 2023 Hank proposed to Jocelyn and she agreed to be his wife. Congratulations! She loved the box! They got engaged in front of the real Myers house at 1000 Mission Street in South Pasadena, California. They later went to Pasadena California for Halloween 45 years of terror convention a con dedicated to the Halloween movie franchise where actor Nick Castle who played Michael Myers in the movie autographed the bottom of the base!!!
